Habit, Lored, habit. I do the same thing. I was just over there, and I read a thread saying that it might be true that Barack Obama is a Islamic militant plant. Good effing lord! And the thought process, seriously, goes like this: "No one has given me evidence that I like that says it isn't true, so it is of course a possibility." Now, I ask you, if the militant, terrorist groups which claim Islamic principles were going to try to run a candidate in office who they thought would WIN and be the leader of the free world, and would then catapult them to power, would they in all honestly pick a mixed race guy who grew up mostly in Hawaii? Whose dad wasn't Christian? Really? That would be their first choice? And the idiggers all get in line... "His middle name is Hussein!!!" (like that means anything. My mother's first name is Bruce, but she's not a man.) "It's a signal of the apocalypse" (paraphrasing, but that was the Jeffery gist). Ugh! My eyeballs are rolling back in my head! I can't believe these folks are getting sucked into this garbage again!

LG, since nobody has offered me any evidence to the contrary, that I am willing to accept, I am left to believe that Obama may, or may not, be a extremist radical something or the other. He may well stand for something I do not agree with wholeheartedly, in general. I am unclear on his attitude towards genetically modified minions, and that scares me.

You are on to something for sure, Landarc! It could absolutely be possible that he has accepted money from Acme Minions. He could even be in the pocket of the genetically modified powdered minion lobby. I do believe that there have been unsubstantiated rumors which claim that the gmpm lobby has accepted shadow donations from the minion taliban. Aren't they based in Lanai? Someone once posted that on a blog somewhere, so it may be true. ;D

I may have to vote against someone instead of for someone if these things keep up. New Zealand looks good too.

Haha. I'm glad I don't have to vote, either way. Obama is a plant, and what's Hillary again? Wait, if he's a plant, isn't that a good thing? Maybe he's an heirloom, op, rare variety,...oh, never mind.
I do the same thing, can't stay away, even though my socialist left wing Canadian opinion doesn't matter, seeing as what happens in the US doesn't affect other countries one iota. I've been better lately though, I only check once in a while (yeah, right, okay, every day.) It's hard to stay away, even when it sends your blood pressure through the roof.

LoreD, I saw that long ago on that forum and have seen it on others. If there's a sub-forum where just about anything goes, the smell of the BS clings to everything else. Worse thing that ever happened to HT was addition of General Chat. Anyone who is an a$$ in that forum is usually an a$$ throughout. The difference there between IDig and HT is that HT moderators don't often side with the a$$es.

Now this is just a guess on my part, but I'd suspect HOT gets his info from the same place a friend of my late mother gets her info. Scary indeed and this one was the final straw for me -- I'm off the included list, Dagnabitt! I had told her in the past to stop emailing her intolerant stuff to me. Mom even begged her to stop sending the stuff. She just sends all the stuff her little church group circulates and seems to find nothing wrong with it. <shiver> I particularly liked the addition she added to the basic propoganda. This is supposedly appropriate to clarify the whole situation? OMG! And to just email it out like it is common knowledge and perfectly acceptable. I researched the Trinity United Church of Christ and it appears that they support homosexuality as well....... I hope everyone realizes that there is no link whatsoever to the church of Christ and the UNITED Church of Christ! However, I don't think we should hold his name against him, he didn't pick it. Everyone needs to try to focus on the issues and all of the candidates core beliefs. Obama mentioned his church during his appearance with Oprah. It's the Trinity Church of Christ. I found this interesting.
