it has been varying from cool to hot here without much in between. the next few days are forecast for rains and returning to more moderate temperatures and that will be welcome. we did get the mowing done today so pretty much for the next week whatever i can get done in the gardens will be weeding and some planting. the garden starts are ready to go as soon as i'm sure the weather won't be returning to frosty again.

Denver is an interesting place, i spent a month there one summer and i also enjoyed that time by taking some trips into the mountains and doing some fishing. the weather can change quickly up in the mountains. in recent weeks they've had some rains and snows - they're not quite done with the melting of their winter snow pack yet. it was not a great water year but somewhat better than the year before which had no summer monsoon rains.
where my sister is at in New Mexico she is not far from the Hermit's Peak fire, but luckily the past few days the wind has been blowing in the right direction. i'm hoping they'll get it more contained before the winds shift again.
the weather here in Mid-Michigan has been hot the past few days (87F, 30.6C) and tomorrow it will be much nicer the rest of the week with some chances of rain. hope so, we're getting too dry again.

We went from Twenties F, a few weeks back, straight to summer, Eighties F. Now it is a pleasant Seventies F, but next week we hit hell month (July) temps. of high ninties.
Copious rain has made this, so far, a very pleasant spring, time will tell how this plays out.

very similar to yesterday. today will not be quite that warm with highs in the upper 80sF, back down to 73F for Saturday and then back up to the mid-90s by Tuesday again. this morning we did get some rain so that makes it nicer in that i won't have to water all the seeds i've been planting. i'll check everything later in the day to make sure nothing is getting too dry out there. one last garden to plant for beans and then i'll be done other than filling in empty spots if i need to do that. i hope Saturday morning will be it.
when it gets too hot and humid be careful out there!

it has been fairly dry and mostly sunny the past few weeks. only one rainy morning and that isn't enough to keep the gardens growing so i've been out watering as needed. the next few days are warm to hot (up into the low 90sF). some chance of rain this evening, but i won't count it until it hits the ground. would be welcome if it happened.

Heavy rain last week; a town 30 miles northwest of here had over 8 inches of rain, some areas reported 12. Storm formed right over the town, shut down U.S. 10.
Here only 3 inches but my second garden 50 miles Sout of here had zero. Nice summer weather , fifties/sixties at night , seventies low eighties day time.

still too dry for us, but perhaps some rains tonight if we're lucky. temperatures moderated down the past few days from the mid-90sF to as low as 72F yesterday, but will be going back up again. it is summer time for sure.
