we've finally gotten past the rainy period of weather where i can get outside again and get things done. the next five days of the forecast look pretty good before we see rains again. i should be caught up on weeding and bean picking by then. perfect weather, wish it would stick around for a few more months. it won't... but it is a nice thought.

The squashs try to do a lot of fruits.Surely too late for harvested matures fruits but a good idea for browning. Our tomatos caught the blight.

we've stuck in the range between mid-40sF and mid-50sF. rains for some days and then back to a break so i can try to finish getting the house stained (most of it). i now have a break for a few days to rest up and then the weather is supposed to get back to warmer for the weekend and perhaps up to 70F. we'll see... i'm not sure i'll believe it until i feel it. in the meantime we have over night lows forecast to get down near frost and even chances of sn*w.
not enough gardening lately because of the above project, but i hope to at least get some garlic planted this week sometime.

Weather has gone from 20 degrees above average F to 20 degrees below average. Right now we just pulled out of singe digit night lows to 50 F a few hours ago. Long range forecast, for what it is worth, shows a steady slow drop , with not forecast sub-zero temps. (actually NOT a good thing) to a slow steady increase in spring with planting weather possibly a month early. With the extreme drought we had where my South garden is we need LOTS and LOTS of snow, or next year with miserable.
