Here again is H-34 and segregates, notice on the left side the yellow, some are fully dark, the split is almost center, notice the color all over, not just the shoulders. There are various stages to look at.

Hey Darth, Looks like you have some winners there, the larger one seems to have some streaks or striping on it? My tomatoes were pretty much a bust this season, just when they were doing good I had a big infestation of spider mites then the blight set in on them. I ended up pulling what was left, the only one that did any good and lasted longer despite the heatwave that we had was one that was called Portuguese Monster, so I'm looking forward to growing it next year. Please let me know when you have some seeds, I'm interested in giving them OSU -P20 or H34 a try I see that when they are ripe they are more of a dark brown which is ok. From what I have read they supposed to turn dark brown when they are ripe, as I have not tasted them I'm wondering if they taste like the Brown or Black tomatoes do? If you have a few seeds that you can send me you can email me at my Yahoo Addy and I'll give you my address. All in all I have to say that this year was a bust not just for my tomatoes but just about everything except for my Beans, but as they say "There's always Next year" George W.

My tomatoes carried in 2009 numeros going from OSU01 to OSU99 Here are the not regular tomatoes which I obtained this year. At first a mini tomato of 12 g growing on a determinate plant of 50 cms. And then the OSU 50:a flat tomato:153g Then the generations of the OSU 05 Osu38 gave tomatoes to nipple. Among the regular blue tomatoes, there was this tomato red in shape olive.

Ambiori.. Lots of nice looking tomatoes there. : ) I am especially surprised by OSU 38. I have never seen so many nippled fruit coming from out of the blue collection. And the olive shaped one, that made me chuckle.

Darth... LOL. Those are just too cute. Hope it is ok to say a tomato is cute. What cultivar are you crossing with that makes a nipped fruit, or is the cross itself producing them? I need to grow some just for the novelty of them. I enjoy growing unusual things. Thanks for sharing the pic. : )

LOL : ) ...snicker..snicker...
I been looking at some different tomatoes that I haven't grown before to try and cross with the OSU Blue for next year.
If anybody has tried these crosses already, would ya mind sharing your experience. If you have had poor results, than I'll look for something else to play with.
These are the ones I getting seed of:
Feverwerk Vintage Wine Moldovan Green Koltas Russian 117 Jaune Flamme
and for good measure I thought I would try Honey Jade and Slowaakse too.
What ya think of my choices? yes, no, maybe, forget it, give it up, go for it? : )

;D ;D Oh Nuts.. I want that tomato. : ) It looks like the head of the character Mickey Mouse from Disney Land. I think you hold first place for the cutest and most unusual OSU Blue ever.
Was that the only tomato that did that?
Too bad you can't preserve it in that shape. Definitely a conversation piece. ;D
