I do wintering Sweet Peppers since 3 winters, half of them doing well, the other half dying. I wait until after the first frost and only take plants that are doing well. Even among the seedlings from the grocery store are some hardy plants. The tomatoes have always died after being potted. But maybe I dug them up too late. I think frost is too much for tomatoes.

I found many segregating seedlings from seeds from irregular shaped fruits. Beef-like fruits on otherwise plants with perfectly round tomatos seem to be more likely to be crosspollinated. In the beginning I picked these fruits because I wanted to select towards beef type fruits. It turned out that these seedlings change shape colour and other features from year to year

Someone managed to do a copy of the old CitrusGrowerForum. It is available as a static website now. Maybe something similar is possible with tomatovillian? link

Yes. There was a good yield. None of the flowering plants had tubers, only the plants without flowers had tubers. I will post a picture soon. Unfortunately there were no seeds to harvest.

I used an oil chili mix on my corn plants. They never came back. Racoons are new here they migrate from east and south and live around here only since some years. There might be less racoons then at your place. But... today I saw a racoon trap in my neighborhood.

These are beans which volunteer since several years in my garden. All I need to do is to trash the seeds on the ground in spring.

I found a single berry of phureja potato. The first one in years. Phureja is great. Late Blight resistent, winter hardy and has a great taste. Only minus is the small tubers. It didn`t cross with other potatoes neither naturally nor intended. I hope for something interesting among the seedlings.

One of my seedlings made a huge potato. On top it seems to be Late Blight tolerant.
