Sammy - you'll be happy here. We have had a few politically minded conversations here, but the difference is, there's a level of respect that doesn't happen elsewhere. I think I can be pretty confident here that if I voice a different opinion from another member, not only will they not try to shout me down just to feel big, but there won't be a ton of other people trying to form a pile on.
I'm fine with someone telling me they think I'm wrong and listing insightful reasons why they believe that to be the case. I have a different view of people who jump in to a conversation just to say "you're an idiot, and obviously retarded for thinking the way you do" and then not giving me any reason to see it their way.
Oh... and here? You can be whatever religion or lack thereof that you feel like being, and no one else really cares... Hooray!!!!

I'm actually leaving idig. I have the holliday gift exchange to complete and one trade with mrtomatoexpress and I've completed my obligations. I also am deeply regreting my $40 order to BC last week. If I could cancel it I would. I can't stay out of that damed politics thread and I am having a hardtime with the selective application of rules.

Clark, I'm really sorry to hear that! I know I don't post over here much, so I'm sure it seems odd now, but I have to say that you'll be missed over there! I hope I'm not among the reasons people are leaving again?! I just can't seem to keep my trap shut on a few hot-button topics right now. I think my name's Mud over in T land as a matter of fact, but I can live with that.

Andy you're cool. I just don't like the climate over there now. It's not one person thats making me want to leave. It's just the fact that everything turns into a fight. There are so many people not interested in gardening and more interested in posting haiku's and politically charged garbage. To be completely honest even Jere's policies are just now weird. I'm not trash talking Jere. It's his place to do what he wishes with. So if I don't like it then I should separate myself from it. And BTW Andy I will get your postage out this week for those cuttings. Thanks again.

redbrick, why do you feel that way? I'm sorry if you do! We don't want you or any of you good folks to feel that way. We enjoy the company of all you good folks that joined when Alan started his board and Pyro started TL for we misfits. You are most welcome members of TL. If it is a thread I think it might be ... pffffttttt, don't worry about it. I've mixed it up with him too and I won't let it keep me from enjoying myself.  |

Redbrick? I don't know that is the case, certainly as one of the mods, I have not received any comments to suggest that. Why do you feel this?
By the way, if any body wonders, I have not been active here, just too busy. I will be back in the spring, but, I wanted to make sure I understand where Andy is coming from. We do not want to have a website where people feel unwelcome, where rules are ambiguous, or where a person feels they cannot speak freely. Anyone has a problem at TL, they are free to PM me there.
