Yes; it turns out what I thought was feral wheat OTF is rye; that's cool; it grows OTF with no input from me, so I'll spread it and harvest it for chow for me or critters. Free food is not to be distained. Gotta spread the seeds of patience dock around before the rains come.

a bit of a ray of hope and light. let's get on with solving some problems instead of making things worse. we are all in this world together.
no matter what my life here is unlikely to change much no matter what, but i do like to see signs of some sort of improvement for a change.

heh, i think this thread suddenly became a bit more real than any of us really wanted. how is everyone doing? holding on ok through viral and political upheavals?
we are ok, we are our own little pod and keep family visits and other things to a minimum, the state is getting people vaccinated from the higher priority groups first which makes sense, i'm ok with that, Mom will not get the vaccine so i am just waiting for my turn to come along, perhaps a in a month or two. a bunch of her friends have gotten their first shot so that is the start of them being more protected and i'm glad for that, especially the few who have complicating factors.
politically, well i will skip most of that other than saying i'm glad we didn't lose our system as it is, as flawed as it is, we can make it better.

S'pose I should take the covid more seriously, being 76, with a cardio condition and A+ blood, but I'm willing to let essential workers get their vaccine before me; I don't deal with people much, while they have to, and I appreciate them showing up for work.
Now that Agent Orange is not in charge of the failure to deal with the problem, maybe we can moderate our stunning fatality rate.

that is the same with me, i don't go out much normally, maybe once or twice a month do i see others out and about. we have people in our pod that visit or Mom visits them. i have some slight risk factors so i do want the vaccine as i'd rather not have an exposure in the wild and then not know it and pass it along to Mom.
and, yeah, so glad he is out, i am not huge fan of the current president, but at least he has a chance of doing things and he's already done more in the first few days than the other did the whole past year. don't get me started though as i can rant a bit about the anti-science crud i have to wade through on a daily basis.
i am very glad to let others get the vaccine first, i have a cousin who's an ER physician in a larger nearby city and they have had their second shot a few weeks ago so they should be protected pretty well. they said they were so happy to not have to worry so much now and to me that means they can provide better care. can't imagine what their life has been like at work the past year, but from what they have said it has been a big heartache.

Yes, I'm relieved to have a responsible adult in the White House.

I knew it would come to this, and this is where to note it; in the local Grossout (Grocery Outlet) there was SOYLENT! Granted, it's not green, being strawberry. I look forward to brekkie tomorrow.

I read pages of this and still did not actually understand what the topic IS. Still I have shifted my diet due to prices in the stores and today I went to get grapes and they rang up to $21 and I said, that cannot be right , they are on sale . Nope $21 for grapes and I did not have enough money so left them there . Obviously I am going to be eating more seasonally . I just bought 4 more cages for rabbits incase I have to start raising all my own meat , I already do chickens .
