Was thinking of planting peas outside, but we keep getting layers of snow and ice that thaw just in time...for another layer of snow and ice. Two more storms predicted for the next week.

Been cold rain/hail intermittently the last couple weeks; lousy for work, but we need the water; always yin/yang, good news/bad news.

More of a hoe/hum kinda day here, just cloudy, no wind, no rain either, wasnt cold or too warm, just, you know, stock standard boring weather.

Cold rain here this morning, forecast for 3 - 4 inches of snow tonight. If it happens it will be more than we had all winter put together.

Wow, we really did get 5 - 6 inches of snow, it sure is pretty. Don't know what it is with dogs and snow but Ethel is sure having fun scooping it up with her nose. Few days ago the Z dip plant and sweet potatoes enjoyed a 75 F afternoon outside in the sun.

Think we got some snow and ice from the same storm as reed. The garden is all tilled up and ready to go but the nor'easters just won't quit.

We're getting another round, started with heavy, heavy snow just at dawn. Me and the dog went for a little walk in it. Got about two inches in an hour or so and was changing to rain by time we got home. Radar looks like it will be this way till tomorrow morning. Good excuse for a lazy day, I don't mind those once in a while.

Weekend was dry, almost warm in the sun. The last bits of snow persist only on the north side of buildings now. Might be spring.

Getting 80's in Oakland this week; much too sudden a shift for comfort.

Snow a few days ago was followed by a morning at 19 F. Since then it has warmed back up to the 60s / 40s with some hard rain but mostly just gray gloomy drizzle. Next couple days are supposed to maybe have a little sun. I hope so.

More cloudy gloomy weather predicted for next six or seven days. Even when it stops it will take a good while for the ground to be workable. Guess I'll break down and start some tomatoes inside. Cold frames won't heat up without a little sunshine.

The passing of a cold front and clearing sky behind it yesterday meant a frost this morning, dont think it will be hard enough to damage the frost tender plants yet, the foehn winds are back by the end of the day meaning a much warmer night coming up. We up to 150 frost free day now.

Reports calling for mid 70s tomorrow with storms then down to low 40s the next day, staying mostly cloudy for next week or more. Northeast was supposed to get another winter storm and still another setting up after that. On their way across the continent the colder and more snowy part of these type storms generally stays north of us, but not always.
The pattern might persist through the rest of the month. Sounds like a lot of farmers might be late getting crops in this year.

Made it to 80F this afternoon with sunshine, first boxers only day outside. Followed by brief wind, hail and lightening. On the 1 - 10 scale I'd give it a 6 for intensity, 1 for duration.
