for sure welcoming a bit cooler temperatures. i'm sure some heat will return, 6-7 more weeks, but we'll be ok either way... patience and persistence are important aspects of gardening.

We've had heat advisories off and on for two weeks, predicting possibly another next week. Yesterday with humidex was 38C here, way over my comfort level. Woken up by a huge storm with all the trimmings, high wind throwing things around, constant thunder and lightning and blessed blessed rain..It was a little bizarre, pillow cases damp from sweat but looking for a blanket cause the temps had dropped so much. It nearly refilled my water barrels which were really getting low, but no idea of how much actually fell.
