Reminds me of one of my great-grandmothers; she was rude, crude, and socially unacceptable. I liked her a lot, being a kid. Only the good die young; the bad are worth keeping around for the fun of it.

Carnation Milk 65 Years Ago ...This is PRICELESS A little old lady from Wisconsin had worked in and around her family dairy farms since she was old enough to walk, with hours of hard work and little compensation. When canned Carnation Milk became available in grocery stores in approximately the 1940s, she read an advertisement offering $5,000 for the best slogan. The producers wanted a rhyme beginning With'Carnation Milk is best of all.' She thought to herself, I know all about milk and dairy farms. I can do this! She sent in her entry, and several weeks later, a black limo pulled up in front of her house. A man got out and said, 'Carnation' LOVED your entry so much! We are here to award you $2,000 even though we will not be able to use it!'

Nonsense; of course it's funny to think people who would work hard enough to grow food would put up with such oppressive bullshit; it's absurd. Funny? Sort of. Humorous? Not so much. I might be put in manacles, but they'd fucking better never let me out, having done so!

Holly, You might be the third one in manacles but you won't be alone. I don't think it's funny either but it sure makes you think about where things seem to be going. steev says it's absurd but............. Mike Sorry if I spoiled your day.

This is for Holly in atonement for the last one which got a bit too close to home.
The Arrogance of Authority
A DEA officer stopped at a ranch in Texas , and talked with an old rancher.
He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs."
The rancher said, "Okay , but don't go in that field over there.....", as he pointed out the location.
The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, " Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me !"
Reaching into his rear pants pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher.
"See this badge?! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish.... On any land !! No questions asked or answers given!! Have I made myself clear......do you understand ?!!"
The rancher nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores.
A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up, and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull......
With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he'd get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified.
The rancher threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs.....
"Your badge, show him your BADGE........ ! !"
