i dont know which one oxbowfarm registered on, i suspect the first one (OpenWetWare), but philagardener has been updating over on the one i am hosting. I will be trying to keep them both synced if i can, which is a bit weird but since this is all sort of an experiment i'm hoping things will sort themselves out in the end. As of now My website is the one that is currently most up-to-date. In particular the Golden Sweet / Golden Podded page.
We will all need to see what format we want to make it, and what info and photos we want to include, but hopefully it will develop over time. Ideally it would be nice to just have someone else host it after it is created like OSSI or something, but that does not look like an option right now, if ever. OpenWetWare should be stable (though i did not explicitly ask permission) but it has the upside of being open to anyone "sharing their science", the downside is it is sort of geared toward synthetic biology or microbiology univeersity labs and such, not really toward plant breeding (though it does not restrict it). The OpenAg wiki is another potential place it could be hosted. But i would like to have a fleshed out wiki repository of information before asking over there.
I guess at this point my website is the best spot. With the other being a sort of backup just in case something happens to mine for now.
Sorry about the confusion and having two wikis everybody. I'm still new to all this.

Added seed pics for golden sweet, Biskopens, Sugar Magnolia, and Opal Creek. I have more but need to figure out adding new variety pages.

Added a new variety page for my pink flowered golden sweet.
I wouldn't have guessed that modding computer games was actually teaching me something useful.

Added a new variety page for my pink flowered golden sweet. Cool. It is interesting that the pink flowered version you have still retains the characteristic flowers of Golden Sweet that do not open. An annoying but also rare trait in peas. Opal Creek also has this annoying trait. Hard to do crosses when the flowers don't open. Plus Opal Creek flowers are extra tiny in my garden. The bicolor pink flowers are more common than i originally thought. I guess they are present in a few varieties. One that comes to mind is Sugar Beth mentioned on someones blog in the UK and a new pea variety bred by Peace Seedlings (forgot the name right now). But there are others. It is still a rare trait too at this point in time. I do remember it showing up in a random accession of peas i was trialing. At the time i thought i had just mixed up some seed, but looking back it was not fasciated like salmon-flowered so i know i didn't. And this was before i made any crosses by hand. hmm... maybe i should make an entry for "Heavily-Branched". Sadly i have no photos of it's amazing branching growth habit. If anyone is growing that new cross of mine this spring then please take some photos if it still retains that trait. It was a cool but slightly unexpected recombination. It seemed heavily productive too, so it might be worth keeping an eye on. It was tall though like most of my peas right now. So needs a tall trellis. 4-6ft high. I need to make a category of peas with the hyper-tendril or semi-leafless trait. A trait i wish most of my peas had. Sadly few at this point do.

i added flower photos of Golden Sweet. To be quick i just copied Rebsie's photos from her blog. I made sure to give her credit when i uploaded them in the photo comments. I will have to dig through my old photos to see if i have any flower photos of golden sweet. I used my photos for tendrils and pods.
one thing i'd like to figure out is how to organize the photos more side by side like in a cube formation rather than from top to bottom. I know you can use a frame and or thumb to do that but it's still kinda confusing.

I added a different flower photo for my line of Golden Sweet. This image is quite distinct from the ones andrew added in that the banner is up. Does that mean that this flower has opened properly? I may have both this form as well as more closed flowers in my population. I thought they were just slow to open, but will pay more attention this year to see how this trait may vary between plants.

Added a page for Parsley Pea! Yay! I sort of love Parsley Pea! Guess i should make a page for purple pod parsley. And Calvin Lamborn's new "snap greens" varieties I also need to make a page for purple passion.

Interesting. Well, maybe it just has a lot of variation. I might have had some with open flowers too. Can't remember. I just know most of them had flowers that n never fully opened. And Rebsie also had many that didn't. It is also possible that it is environmentally influenced and so in other climates it could grow different for this trait.

I've actually grown the original Parsley Pea that i got from Adaptive Seeds. Apparently they don't carry it anymore. But the only real difference is it does not have purple pods and i think is shorter. I'm debating whether i should make a new page specifically for Purple Pod Parsley and copy the page info over and turn this page into one for the original parsley pea or just leave them combined together. Thoughts? I'm thinking i will add a new "category" for tendril/leaf or foliage types that will include Parsley types and Hyper Tendril / Semi-leafless types.

I actually encountered a problem in that I started the page using "Parsley Pea" at the top level. I then realized after I made the page at the next level that I should have been more specific but then could not figure out how to rename the link in the wiki without losing the connection to content. It sort of breaks the link and I couldn't find a way to remap that. Maybe you fixed it moving things around - I'll check later - or perhaps that is something that you can fix at the server level.

Is anyone growing the Lamborn strains? He seemed to keep very tight legal reins on things; it would be a shame if his work were to end with his passing.

I planted one of his parsley-snap peas last year. Don't think it did all that well nor do i think the snap was very impressive. But i might still have seed for it mixed in with the unknowns. But i feel like ive had trouble with snaps before so i don't know if they like my climate to begin with. Only sugar Magnolia so far does well for me in the snap realm and it is a little different from other snaps. Carol Deppe doesn't even like to admit it is a snap pea and insists it is a "half-snap". I did not get his seeds from his direct website as you are supposed to sign an agreement to not save seeds. But it seems there are a few other places online you can find them. Thought i got mine from Fedco? P.s. i also found one called "parsley pea" online but it says it is a snap. This is clearly Calvin Lamborn's new strain and not the original parsley pea.

I noticed it was under the main page so i moved it under the pea collaboration page. I found a "move page" button next to the edit button. I can always move it again. I think you have access to the move page button as well. If not i can look into giving you guys more administrative access.
